Purpose

The purpose of It’s Better Together is to provide a place for contemporary minded young wedding professionals and entrepreneurs in the Central Florida area a place to organically connect, learn from each other, share creative ideas, and grow friendships with others at similar stages of life and business.

This idea grew from the desire of a few local business owners who were feeling disconnected and longing for a better, richer community of young people to bounce ideas off of, to share advice with, and to be themselves around without the constant pressure of networking and bravado. Owning your own business is hard, but it’s better together.

The goal of our group is to bring young business owners together through quarterly meet-ups centered around the various business topics that are important to all of us, to allow connections to be made organically through friendship and shared interests, and to provide a warm and welcoming place to grow individually while contributing to the market as well as to the local community. In other words, it’s an open source therapy session for everyone dealing with the daily stresses of starting and running their own businesses in the crazy world of the wedding industry.

How to Be Better Together

1. Connection. Our meet-ups are not just about learning from some knowledgeable speakers, they are also about making connections and friendships. They are the perfect time to get to know other young professionals in your area. Our networking is more organic than it is sales pitchy and we believe that’s what makes the difference.

2. Support. Running a business is a hard, but wonderful job and sometimes you need a lift, a smile, a bit of support. We are here to help build each other up. We are here to be positive and supportive for each other. We’re here to cultivate relationships and to grow together while growing ourselves and our businesses.

3. Sharing. We believe very strongly in the idea of sharing with each other. Sharing information. Sharing tips. Sharing contacts. Sharing advice. Sharing of ourselves builds genuine relationships. It’s not about me, it’s about us… together.
